Aratoi Museum of Art and History (2019 Molly Morpeth Canaday Award)

The Molly Morpeth Canaday Award (MMCA) is one of New Zealand's most vibrant contemporary art awards, dedicated to excellence across contemporary and traditional painting genres. Since 1991, a high standard of work is selected to form the exhibition from nationwide entries. With a record number of over 500 entries received, the 2019 MMCA - Painting and Drawing offers over $20,000 in awards.
Leading Australian art academic and critic Dr Christopher McAuliffe is the international guest judge of the final award winners for the exhibition at Aratoi.
